First Choice Paints Ok, let talk about "paint" today.
Congragulations to First Choice Paints on their grand opening on January 21st.  Located at 2550 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33765.

So I asked Greg what is the difference between the paint he sells which is Benjamin Moore versus Behr paint, following is the difference:

Picking a paint brand can be very difficult for a consumer who is not familiar with various brand of paint.  Benjamin Moore being the top quality pick and Behr being the top value pick.

Benjamin Moore - has a reputation for providing extremely high-quality paint; rich colors and thickness are what allow it to stand out from other competitor.

Behr - considered a quality paint, just not quite as luxurious.

Compare price - Depending on your budget and number of gallons needed, at around $50 per gallon, Benjamin Moore paint costs almost twice as much as Behr, which sells for around $30 per paint.

After all, stop by and talk to Greg, he has over sixteen years experience in the paint industry, both in paint application and running retail paint stores.  They have developed a strong reputation for service and honesty with local painters and retail customer.

Say No To Drugs Holiday Classic My family and I ran the first 5K race on Dec. 19.  This day was the coldest day of the year but it did not stop us from getting out of the bed and run for the good cause.

We enjoyed the weather, a great family event and lastly, the delicious pancake they have ready for us.

Looking forward to next year's run.

"I have been here many times.   This is a Paleo Diet lovers delight.
They have various soups that are hearty and deep flavor.   I have had several versions w sausage and today's was Brussels sprouts w bacon. Mmmm
My wife and I had quiche Lorraine which was amazing.  We also had a blueberry muffin (Paleo) w Kerry Gold Butter.
I have ordered entrees to go many times.   They do have an opportunity to order several days of food in advance so you can ensure you will eat healthy and tasty for the few days you order.
This place has real food that's real good!  Is it cheap?  Heck no but it's readonable and they are friendly and knowledgable about Paleo eating.  Just ask!"

"It's so nice to have this option in Clearwater.  Grass fed beef, paleo restaurant.  A surprising gem for Florida!  The soup is great, the muffins are fantastic, and I love all the veggies in the stir fries.  Very friendly staff as well.  Thank you Kara Lynn"

Shop Local at Le Bouquet by Francis

Le Bouquet by Francis

Westfield Countryside Mall; lebouquetbyfrancis.com

Everyone loves chocolate, Le Bouquet by Francis, which opened Nov. 19 at Westfield Countryside Mall in Clearwater. When the Peyronnet family moved to Clearwater they were perplexed at the paucity of handcrafted chocolates. So they got busy, enlisting the services of French-born pastry chef Jean-François Bonnet, who produces hand-made chocolates in his chocolate factory in Brooklyn. Twice listed among Dessert Professional magazine's Top 10 pastry chefs in America and featured in Food & Wine magazine's "Masters Series," Bonnet has contributed a variety of milk, dark and white chocolate barks, packaged distinctively in bouquets ($18 half pound, $36 full pound). Flavor combinations like mandarin orange and cinnamon, peanut butter and banana, peppermint and so forth elevate the level of play, and then the lineup of boxed bonbons, spreads and traditional chocolate bars make for some exciting stocking stuffer options. — Laura Reiley

Handmade Chocolate by "Le Bouquet by Francis" Le Bouquet by Francis opens its first shop in the Westfield Countryside mall.  Francis and Fabien Peyronnet, a father-and-son duo, are introducing a new way to share quality French inspired chocolate to Clearwater.

The "bouquet" packaging is much like flowers, you can share the gift of chocolate with friends and loved ones for every occasion.  The chocolate is not too sweet, it is quality handmade chocolate by Chef Jean Francois Bonnet.  Chef Bonnet has been twice listed among Dessert Professional magazine's Top 10 pastry Chefs in America and featured in Food & Wine magazine's Masters Series.

Le Bouquet by Francis is located in the Westfield Countryside Mall, 27001 U.S. 19 Hwy N., next to the ice skating rink.

Show some love and your support to the yummy chocolate store.

Technology and Arts Mashup Coming to ADV!

Give technology to a bunch of 9- and 10-year-olds who love to dance, draw, and sing and great things are bound to emerge.

Public schools across America are cutting arts programs, but at Academie Da Vinci Charter School for the Arts (ADV) elementary school students enjoy art, music, and dance every week as part of their regular curriculum. Now, their 4th and 5th grade students will have the option of adding technology to the mix.

technologynew Technology Elective class will start in the fall, led by new-hire Katie Pacana. Students in the Technology Elective will learn about and use technology in a hands-on environment, and see how it can be applied to academics and productivity, as well as creating art.

Conner Gaines, a 10-year-old incoming 5th grader, is excited about the Technology Elective. “I signed up for it because it’s new and I like technology,” he says. “I’m interested in learning more about computers and websites.”

ipad air2ADV is also purchasing iPad Air 2 tablets for 4th and 5thgrade students to use in the new school year. “The art and music that people are creating with iPads is amazing. We’re really excited to have these iPads for our students this year, and will have them loaded up with both educational and arts-related apps,” says Lucy Foran, ADV’s principal.

The school does have seats open for 4th and 5th graders for the 2015/16 school year. Interested families can call the school at (727) 298-2778 to set up a tour.
