The Byrds co-founders Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman mark the 50th anniversary of the band’s pioneering country-rock album Sweetheart of the Rodeo with a celebration tour making a stop at the historic Capitol Theatre! Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives band will join McGuinn and Hillman onstage, where the Byrds duo will perform songs and tell the stories behind the 1968 LP, one of Rolling Stone‘s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The Byrds nailed a bold Nashville classicism, dressing Bob Dylan and Merle Haggard songs in steel guitar and rock & roll drive. The results set the stage for country rock. Sweetheart of the Rodeo stands as a milestone in American music. Don't miss this rare, one of a kind journey through one of the greatest albums of all time!
