There are millions of people who come in search of the American Dream, and of those, some recognize that the key to achieving it is hard work. With $1 in her pocket, and a dream, 19 year old Ewa Zabatani traveled from Poland to America.

A dream can carry you across oceans, and it can serve as a compass to guide you through your life, to the place you want to be, and Ewa had that. She had a dream to create a family and a business. She says: ”I always wanted to work and find my own way.” And she did.

In a real demonstration of spirit, with no English, she set her sights on working in a really nice restaurant and jazz club in New York, and with fierce determination she made it happen. It was a cool place frequented by such luminaries as Bruce Willis and Madonna, she learned English with the occasional help of her manager.

She worked nights and miraculously managed to also have a career of a few years modeling with a top modelling agency which was accompanied by some great things, such as being in some music videos by top musicians, in magazines and TV commercials, and getting some small parts in movies.

In 2000, Ewa’s American Dream led her to Clearwater, where after a period working in the restaurant industry she became a dental assistant, and got herself a 2 year diploma as a dental technician. Always working hard to attain that dream - there was a period she was designing and selling flowers, waitressing, working in dentistry, and taking care of her children.

While gaining more and more experience in the business of dentistry she bought and sold a restaurant, and as a result, in 2017 was able to open her next business, The New You Dental and Aesthetics ( one of the first dental spas - a new and innovative concept developed by Ewa herself). She did this with her two partners, Dr Barna and Mr Kerns, who believed in her vision, and fully supported the realization of the dream.

Along the way Ewa did the full training line up at the world’s largest and leading dental management company, and has built her business into a flourishing practice that takes care of 300+ patients in and around Safety Harbor. Ewa loves to help people, and her dream for the long term, is to provide high quality affordable healthcare to everyone in a relaxing environment. “I want each of my patients to be treated like a person and not a number.”

As Ewa has built up her practice, she has also assembled around her a great team. Kelly was raised in California as the oldest of five children. Her family was in showbiz. Her dad was a writer as well as on radio. Her mom was an assistant producer for Dragnet. She now has one child of her own name Nick.

The special person in her life is David Pomerantz. Together they have a company called Upward Spiral Entertainment Inc. It is a music publishing company. Together they have been in business for 28 years.

Having grown up in the Los Angeles area her favorite sports teams are; baseball, the Dodgers; basketball, the Lakers; and we can’t forget football, the Rams. But this is not all that Kelly does. She likes swimming and the Olympics. Kelly, at UCLA, even won the Junior Olympics in swimming when she was 15 years old.

As an actress she played in many movies.

Kelly does a tremendous amount of work in the charity field. She went into prisons to work with a project called Criminon.  She helped pilot a project to help young murderers. She saved many young men’s lives with this work.

Kelly co-writes with her husband David. They produce high-caliber musicals that appeal to many.  Their message improves conditions. They’re hoping to reach as many people as possible with this message through the medium of music.

 

John is married and has four kids.  His son works as a technician and his daughter procures the permits while his mother is in charge of hiring and ethics. This is very much a family owned and operated business. John started out in California and Las Vegas. His family own orange ranches. He’s a hockey fan and loves the Tampa Bay Lightning. John is very active in charity work and is part of the volunteer ministers in Clearwater. Is also a WISE member in Clearwater. John also won the wing man award for the most supportive employer. John and his family are definitely a valuable part of our community.

 

  He worked a couple years with another company before starting his own heating and air conditioning company. John is basically a self-taught employer and business owner with a passion to help others.
