There are many occasions like that that happen every month in St. Petersburg, Florida, so if you are looking for a wonderful thing to do with your family, then Wabamm is a good place to start looking.
Please join us on our North Lawn for this FREE event for kids of all ages and the opportunity for families to experience the MFA in a different and exciting way!
your little artists downtown for an afternoon of creative, educational hands-on
arts and crafts projects, at the Museum of Fine Arts! The event includes 13 fun
and engaging art stations, such as making wearable racehorse costumes out of
cardboard boxes and using watercolors, metallic markers, yarn and finger-paint
to create make-and-take paintings.
At each art station, youâll find information about a piece of artwork from the MFA collection with a project that directly ties to that work of art. For example, Georgia OâKeeffeâs 1927 oil on canvas, Poppy, serves as the inspiration for creating âpaper plate poppies.â
Budding artists can also enjoy face painting and working together on cool, collaborative activities like painting the outside of the NOMAD (Neighborhood Oriented Mobile Art and Design) Art Bus and using remote-control cars with paint on the wheels to create designs on large butcher paper.
There will be beverages, food trucks offering savory meals and sweet treats and beer from Green Bench Brewery. And, check out the dog-watering station for our four-legged friends.
Getting your family to occasions like this is good for you, the community and Wabamm!
