Living in Florida is awesome, as you know, and St. Petersburg is even better because there is always something awesome happening. If you are looking for fun events for your family, see what this one is all about!
The City of St. Pete Parks and Recreation Department and TASCO (Teen, Arts, Sports, and Cultural Opportunities) are once again partnering with Tampa Bay Club Sport to bring back the wildly popular America II Extreme Mud Wars (EMW). Once again, the event will be held at Lake Vista Park which adds some beautiful shade to the day. In years past, more than 600 people have competed against each other in series of events that are just as enjoyable to watch as they are to participate in.
EMW boasts 8 mud covered events that teams rotate through to determine who the best of the best is. The event takes approximately 2 grueling weeks of set up. A minimum of 5,000 sandbags, 10 8-ton dump trunks of soil, 8 fire hoses, 30 concrete road barriers, bike racks, tents and trailers are brought in to make this event happen. NOW ITS YOUR TURN! Companies, friends, and groups can get their teams dirty in this all-day event.
This event is designed to be family friendly, so if you need something to do with them, check it out and mention Wabamm!
