After 20 years and more than 2,000 live shows, genre-bending Irish rock band Gaelic Storm is looking sharper than ever with their latest release, Go Climb a Tree, which mixes traditional Irish music with modern influences, creating a sound that's uniquely creative. The album has everything: party drinking songs (“The Beer Song”), patriotic anthems (“Green, White and Orange”), beautiful folk songs (“Monday Morning Girl”), spritely instrumentals (”The Night of Tomfoolery”), perfectly poppy songs (“Shine On”), and even a raucous pirate song (“Shanghai Kelly”). From bluegrass fans and country cowboys to Deadheads, rock and rollers and Celtic fanatics, Gaelic Storm has built one of the most diverse fan bases in modern music.
Tickets are $25 & $35. Performance is at the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, 405 Cleveland St, Downtown Clearwater.
