Boyd Hill Nature Preserve
The Friends of Boyd Hill Nature preserve invite you to the fourth presentations of the 2017 - 2018 Speaker Series. Our programs feature a diverse range of speakers on Florida's natural and cultural history. Programs are free of charge and open to the general public.
Speaker: Christopher A. Nichol Sr., Assistant Professor, St. Petersburg College
Nichol is in his 21st year with SPC and currently teaches marine Science at the Seminole Campus. He completed his graduate studies at Western Connecticut State University specializing in oceanography and limnology. He has worked with many organizations including Tampa Bay Watch, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Florida Conch Society, and International Ocean Institute.
Program: Learn about our rivers, springs, lakes and local wetlands. We will discuss formation, ecological succession, and the plants and animals that are typically found in these places.
